| What Choices Do We Have? |
 |
| Mausoleum space? Niche space? Earth burial? These are
decisions we eventually will have to make. How can we compare the three choices or can
they really be compared? Are they not a personal decision based on preference and
financial consideration? |
 |
Our blog tells about internet keno and everything similar. . About SEO in UK.
Back in the days of the Egyptians entombment (above ground
burial), was considered a luxury for only the very rich or very upper class of citizens.
For hundreds of years afterward, entombment was still considered price prohibitive for
most people. Today, of our three choices, earth burial, ashes placed in a niche, or
entombment, above ground burial is the more expensive, but not high enough so that a
family of average means can afford to purchase crypt space should they choose to do so.
The price of crypt space depends on what level you select, eye level being the most
expensive. Then as you go up or down from that (most desirable) level prices will vary.
Sometimes the price of the crypt will include the lettering afterward but usually not theng until that need arises. Your cemetery will provide you with all the necessary
information you need so that you can make an informed decision. |
 |
| Earth burial is usually less expensive than entombment.
With earth burial you will incur the cost of the plot which can range anywhere from $600
on up. The cost depends on the cemetery and the location of the grave within the cemetery.ng of the grave will be a separate charge, as will the purchase of a vault. The vault
is the outer burial container which is placed in the grave prior to your arrival at the
cemetery. The casket is placed in this vault and then sealed. In this area vaults are a
requirement of most cemeteries because the heavy equipment they use to maintain the graves
would cause the grave (with the casket) to cave in. You will also need a monument or grave
marker which can be purchased any time after the purchase of the grave. Lettering of a
monument or marker will most likely be a separate charge. |
 |
| Cremation is a frequent choice which is full of options.
The cremated remains can be taken care of, a few different ways. One may choose to scatter
the remains, or they can be buried in a cemetery, placed in a niche in a mausoleum or kept
at home in an urn. Many people choose cremation not for economical reasons but for other
more personal reasons. One such reason is portability. Moving from one place to another
requires no special permits or expense. Keepsake urns are also available for those who
wish to scatter, bury or entomb the majority of cremated remains and retain a small amount
of the remains with them. This is an especially good idea for one who is planning on
scattering to consider. |
 |
| Keep in mind, the method of disposition depends on your
personal preferences. While it is usually better to work out plans and make decisions in
advance, often families have not yet had the chance to work everything out. The adept
staff of licensed funeral directors at Sheenan Funeral Home can aid families in making the
right choices for them which best suit their needs in providing a meaningful funeral
service. |
